With the exciting atmosphere of the Youth month towards the ninth congress of Joint Venture Viet-Nga Vietsovpetro (VSP), the 2nd Youth congress of Petrovietnam in term of 2017 - 2022, on 08th Feb 2017, OGPE's Communist Youth group has successfully held the Congress of delegation in term of 2017 - 2019. The congress's function is to evaluate the state of youth union and youth movements of OGPE's Communist Youth group in term of 2012 - 2017 and to determine the directions and mission of Youth Union and movements in term of 2017 – 2019.
Attending and giving directions to the congress, Mr. Vo Van Chau –The Deputy Permanent Secretary of Vietsovpetro Youth Union; Mr. Tran Van Thuong – The Party Committee Secretary, Director of Oil & Gas Production Enterprise and members of Executive Board of Party Committee, OGPE's Union, Women's Union, Veterans Association of OGPE, VSP Standing Youth Board and especially is the presence of 57 elite delegates representative of 8 branches of Youth Union.
During the term of 2012 - 2017, under the closely direction of OGPE Party Committee, the Party cell executive and Vietsovpetro Youth Union, taking advantage of the support of OGPE Union and OGPE Leaders, our Youth union tasks and movements has been taken placed ebulliently and gained a lot of encouraging achievements.
OGPE's Communist Youth group was honored to be graded the powerful and excellent Union and received an emulative flag in two successive years 2015 & 2016, and awarded the Certificates of Merit by Union of Central Business in 2014 and by Central Union in 2015 & 2016. There is a work of Youth Union was admitted as one of 10 national-level projects and was awarded the price of National Artist Festival 2016.
On behalf of the leadership of the Youth union, Mr.Nguyen Thanh Hung – Secretary of OGPE Youth union presented the report on Youth Union mission in term of 2012-2017, Mr.Le Dinh Nam Binh - Deputy Secretary of OGPE Youth union presented the upcoming mission and direction in 2017-2019 term. The contents of the above documents have summarized the general situation of the youth union after five years of working as well as showing the advantages and disadvantages to evaluate the cause and get lessons/learn in order to build up an acting program and assign specific tasks to the new Executive Committee so as to work more effectively. During the term of 2012 - 2017, the activities of OGPE Youth Union are always based on the directions and missions as planned in the previous Congress and have finished impressively in some given targets:
+ Completing 13/12 works, the work of Youth Union has been done 108% of the plan.
+ Introducing to the party 73/60 elite union members, reaching 121% of the plan.
+ 46/40 union members are admitted to the Party, reaching 115% of the plan.
+ Building 02 houses of Solidarity for family policy contributed by Youth Union members.
Speaking to the Congress, Mr. Tran Van Thuong – The Party Committee Secretary, Director of Oil & Gas Production Enterprise admitted the achievements in the Youth Union mission and movement. However, he asked the OGPE Youth Union to have further promotion in the initiative movement - the solution to rationalize production in both quantity and quality by attracting more youth members to join; developing acting programs based on the acting program of OGPE; focusing on the political education for the union members, creating more playgrounds with a variety of contents to attract young people, limiting the state of "sluggishness" in thinking as well as in working especially in the difficult period of the entire oil and gas industry.
During the Congress, Mr. Vo Van Chau –The Deputy Secretary of Vietsovpetro Union praised the performance of OGPE Youth Union to maintain their achievements in social security movement, registration in works of the youth; carrying out more invention. In addition, he completely agreed with the upcoming direction of OGPE Youth Union in the following term. He said he (would always accompany and support to the activities of OGPE Youth Union.
The Congress voted the Executive Committee for the upcoming term 2017-2019, including 11 members, elected 15 delegations to attend the 9th Vietsovpetro Youth Congress, with 100%agreement in(with) the Congress resolution.
